Should I be wary of internet companies that will only accept payments in bank wire transfers or western union?

The Western Union website says "YES."

You better believe it! It's the equivalent of sending cash through the mail, only faster.

By the way, wire transfers and Western Union are both incredibly expensive for the service provided, so why would you want to incur an expense that is not beneficial to YOU?

Definitely a red flag for me. If you can't use a credit card or paypal, move on.
