Im 13, and i havnt started my periods yet, wich is fine, because my sister didnt start until she was older. The thing that is worrying me though is that recently i have been getting dark brown discharge. I am not 'active' and im too embarrassed to talk to my mum dad or a doctor about it. the discharge has a reddish liquid around it that seems thinner, and i found blood when i was wiping myself the other day. i dont think i have started my periods because i have had no symptoms (apart from being very emotionally sensitive) and because of my sisters late start. it doesnt look like blood either. i am really worried about this and it has happened before about a month ago but it went away. Please help =S =S =S

That IS your period. Not everybody feels symptoms. PLus, it doesn't matter when your sister started. You got it because your body ready.

Congrads! You'll get your period soon, if you haven't already. That happens to every girl. Don't worry it's normal. However, if the blood consists then it means you started your period and you should ask an adult to get you female products. You don't have to go to a doctor. Unless the spotting becomes dark red or black. But I'm very sure you started your period. BTW there is no "symptoms" for getting or starting a period. Also everyone is different, even sisters, so just because your sister started her period rather late doesn't necessarily mean you will. Welcome to womanhood

Sounds like you're starting your period. Just becuse your sister started late doesn't mean you will. 13 sounds like the right age. You should talk to your mum , even if you are emberesed becuase she shouldn't mind you asking her questions and I bet she can help you and give you advice. As for the no other symptoms. The main way I can tell I'm getting my period is I'm an emotional wreck. Then the others like cramping and tiredness come after my period is heavier.
Hope that helps

Honey, this IS your period. You don't have to cramp or be ill to get a period. You need to tell your sister if you don't want to tell your mom or dad. She'll help you I'm sure.
