No, I've been barefoot for over ten years, it'd feel very strange if I wore shoes again. It's not dangerous, unhealthy or gross; feet get very tough very quickly, our skin is made to keep pathogens out, and feet are fully washable. Nor is it against the law to go barefoot anywhere; stores can set their own dress codes but in spite of persistent myths there are NO health laws requiring footwear; see source.

I don't get all the 'barefoot in public' questions. Here in the south, nobody cares. (Or have feet suddenly become an obscenity issue?)

nope I don't think it is that big of a deal. Not when I want to shop though because I would not be able to get in any stores. ; )
