If you can explain what "victory" means in Iraq while answering all the other issues that come along if we achieve "victory" then I think everyone would understand the reason why we are there better. Isn't it naive to think this is just a "win" or "lose" issue ?
So we win in Iraq, then what ? Terrorism is gone forever ? Think deeper then left or right.

Yes, we need a victory in Iraq. We need to take out Saddam because he was behind 9/11. Wait, no he wasn't. Well, we need a victory because he had links to Osama and al Qaeda. Oh, no he didn't. Um... we need a victory because Saddam has w.m.d.s. Oops, no he doesn't. Ah, we need a victory because we need to spread freedom and democracy throughout the Middle East. OK, that's not happening. I know, we need a victory Iraq because we stupidly executed Saddam Husein who, despite his U.S. sponsored cruelty, served as a buffer between Shea dominated Iran and the rest of the Middle East. Once the U.S. military can restore the power to the Sunnis that it took from them, if we're lucky, we can leave Iraq almost as stable as it was before the U.S. invaded. Would that be enough victory for you?

Why do you care about Iraqi oil when Saddam has never harmed an American on American soil?

Your Iraq was warned to be like a Vietnam- and now even your British generals who were your former advisors are telling you to withdraw before you are burned out- as every nation who has felt the 'love' of America has done before.
The US is hated for what they do, not who they are- said Republican Ron Paul.
Viva Ron Paul! A Hero to the US People!

There is nothing about victory that Democrats fear. It is just that victory in Iraq is not THEIR victory. As in most of America, winning has come to replace being right.

Why are you laboring under the delusion that Democrats fear victory?

Even if they did, there wouldn't be anything to fear in Iraq.

We don't have a problem with victory. We just prefer an HONEST victory. We won't stoop to Rovian cheating to attain it.

Seems to me the Dems understood victory pretty well in the 2006 elections.

The hierarchy of the Democratic Party have staked their careers on Bush and the Republicans failing in Iraq.

No one likes this damn war but they should consider America before themselves.
