Ameros if the North AMerican Union becomes reality? Would we all go broke during the change over or would $25,000 in a savings account become $25,000 Ameros? Would the change get the country out of debt but put the average american into poverty? How did the Euro affect those countries that switched?

Over the last few years the Canadian dollar and the U.S. dollar have been equalized through the monetary policies of the respective countries.

Before this began, gas didn't cost $3 a gallon and milk didn't cost $5 a gallon. Now, waddya think is going to happen when they try to equalize the dollars to the pesos?

I personally believe the Amero would devalue U.S. currency, and cause economic hardship for most people in this country. However, it might actually add value to a typical Mexican resident's income.
But, there are more important issues than economic. There are political, military and social issues. We also must recognize that George W. Bush has initiated these talks with Mexico and Canada without the authority of Congress and without the general knowledge of the American people. It is part of a 60-year-old plan toward a one-world government, something the Bush dynasty has envisioned ever since the days of Prescott Bush. As other "unions' are formed (the Asian Union, the African Union, etc.), there will eventually be seven such "unions" which will, in turn, merge to become one world wide order. -RKO- 09/13/07

That is a complaint for the residents of New York to take up with their mayor and elected officials. If you don't live there, not a dime of your tax dollars are involved. Congress has nothing to say about how a city allocates and spends their budget. So your assertion that "our tax dollars" are involved is pure equus ferus caballus fecal matter. And perhaps they need the extra protection because of all the crazed Liberals and Democrats who are threatening to destroy the station. Particularly that criminal element masquerading as a social movement over near Wall Street. Who knows what those crazy loons might do. And the city is spending far more on them then they are on protecting Fox News studios. How many jobs has the OWS crowd created that contributed taxes to the city of New York?
