This might sound crual, but it works and it is 100 % safe and works.
Watch where the dogs come from exactly, and u may know they always have a favourite spot ,around this entry point spread lightly and thinly some CHILLY POWDER straight on to the ground.just one sniff and they will learn very quickly that its not for them.carry on until the prob disappears and the neighbour will get the message too.as they sniff around your garden they will learn the line and not bother you.I live near a public alley and dogs before going in there visited my garden while the walker is still meters away so they pretend innocence ....not any more...no more cats, dogs, or, pretencious owners...!!
buy the powder from a grocer that sells the real stuff not just red colour powder made from peppers, has to be chill powder.here in the uk a kilo bag cost £4 approx.be careful if u have young children while u do this, but a few weeks will sort prob out for ever.
good luck.

I don't know of anything that can deter a random dog by sound. There isn't any such thing as a sound that only dogs can hear. There are sounds that dogs can usually hear that most people can't, but if a dog can hear something then so can a cat, a raccoon, maybe a child, or any other living thing which can hear high frequencies. Whatever can bother a dog that much might also bother legitimate human visitors. Take a photo of the offending dog(s) next time they use your lawn. Put signs up asking people to keep their dogs off. Approach the owners and ask that they keep their dogs off your property, explaining that you don't like cleaning up after someone else's dog and you don't like having spots on your lawn and losing valuable plants to dog pee. That at least ought to put them on notice that they are doing something not very neighbourly. There are sprinklers that are motion activated, going off suddenly when something comes into range. That might work on some dogs. They sure worked to keep my cat away from a hummingbird feeder. I have a dog, and do my best to ensure she is not a nuisance to others in any way.

Put up a single wire fence and put a fence charger on it! Make sure this is legal where you live! They get zapped once and you can turn the charger off as they won't come back! Good luck! ;-)=

Check your county or city ordinance for leash laws and check on animals running at large. You can call your local animal control officer and they will be glad to advise you of the laws pertaining to dogs running loose.

Collect the neighbor dog's droppings, pour melted chocolate over them, package prettily, and present it to the neighbors as a "thank you" for their courtesy!
