In some places you are not allowed to own or sell them.. Here you can own them but you can not rehome them.. so if you can't keep them they have to go to a wolf dog rescue.. (the dogs never leave there)..
They also cost more to license ($75 a year here), and the fines if you don't license them or lie about the breed are really high..
The cost of training is also enormous.. they are stubborn, and not easily trained.. Pretty much you have to convince the dog that what ever you want it to do is it's own choice.. they are not easy to command..
50%-75% is going to be REALLY hard to find.. and really not worth it unless you have kept real wolves at some point.. I have only met one that was 75%.. and he was gorgeous, but the guy had him on a thick chain and no one could come up on them unaware without the dog reacting.. That guy had worked with wolves before though.

I think I would also ask 'why'? Hope it's not just for the coolness factor? I live in England anyway where we no longer have wolves, let alone wolf hybrids, so I wouldn't know where you'd find such a person.
Ellie B is wrong, dogs can certainly be crossed with wolves as you know, they are of the same genus. Lions and domestic cats can't be crossed because they are from different genera.

I'm in agreement with "Why?". Why is this something you even want? What does it mean to you to have an animal that is 50-75% wolf as opposed to 100% wolf or 25% dog? What are you expecting to get?
Animals are living creatures, not accessories. Mixing wolves and dogs is not only dangerous but also very unfair to a creature that gets stuck between two worlds. Dogs and wolves are similar, but they are NOT the same thing either mentally or physiologically.
Frankly, percentages don't mean squat anyway. My sister and I have the same "percentage" of Polish, Irish, and Italian blood and she tans while I burn. You don't mix two animals and get an average of their traits... it's not how genetics works.

Not a good idea. Wolf-dog hybrids are hard enough to handle for those who know how let alone someone who doesn't even sound like they know anything about them other than that they're cool. They can be dangerous and illegal in some parts of the country. They are not a good idea. If you want a dog that looks like one go get a husky, a shepherd or some neat looking mutt from the pound. Please save yourself and a lot of other people trouble and do not buy one of these.

Ummm I think that's insane. For a start the dog/wolf hybrid would be unstable in temperament (they're wild!!), and even if there are tamed wolves you could never trust a dog like that around children, other dogs.. people.. oh and there's only 100% in 100% ;)

Most people can't handle one dog.. Let alone a dog x wolf cross.. This sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Why do you want an animal that will be more wild than a domestic dog, but less trustworthy?
Is it just the "cool factor" ("Oooh, look at me, I have a part-wolf! Ain't I just BAD??")?
They don't make great pets. They're usually quite a lot of trouble. Don't do it.
