Its just the libs attempt of humanizing the animals we are fighting...they refuse to acknowledge evil...because of the guilt they feel for being an "American", they only see America as evil...that is why libs in power are so dangerous!!....its time for Americans to be PROUD of our heritage...PROUD of our history, and PROUD of our military...its TIME to call evil what it is...EVIL!!!...and its time to toughen up and stomp OUT this evil NOW...BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!!!

An insurgency is an armed rebellion by any irregular armed force that rises up against an established authority, government, or administration. Those carrying out an insurgency are insurgents . Insurgents conduct sabotage and harassment. Insurgents usually are in opposition to a civil authority or government primarily in the hope of improving their condition.
Paid insurgents are called 'mercenaries'.
The American revolutionists used many mercenaries in the fight against Great Britain's monarchy.
George Washington et.al. did not target civilians, nor has any United States commander since. Civilian deaths are unavoidable in an armed conflict but they have never been targets of the United States of America.
That cannot be said of other countries.

An insurgent is from a country removed from the place where they are fighting. So the argument that I will defend my land if attacked is off the mark. The reason there are insurgents are not because they are pro iraq...Just anti american, then when they can't kill us, they kill iraquis...They represent the volatile regions efforts to remain destabilized for the gain of a few power hungry men.

I'm a liberal.I've never called them freedom fighters.I don't know of anybody who has.
I'm really tired of idiots who claim to know what I say or think, when all they're doing is repeating Rush and Billo's latest talking points, which are nothing but propaganda for dumbasses.
By the way-George Washington did target Loyalist civilians in the Revolutionary War.Both sides engaged in terror tactics,But what has the Revolution to do with your particular brand of witch hunting asshattery?

There are freedom fighters in iraq.
If someone invaded your country, would you fight to repel them? Or go suck them off?
Everyone assumes the US is in the right in their invasion and occupation of Iraq. There are a large number of Iraqis that disagree.
Now, there are foreign terrorists, al queda, and other groups fighting in iraq - due to the fact that Dubya didn't try to secure Iraqs borders (in fact, they actually worked under the delusion that making iraq into a magnet for terrorists wouldn't turn into the massive mess that iraq is currently.
Oh, and US forces aren't innocent of torturing people and killing civilians. Sorry to destroy your premise.

if a Muslim nation that was more powerful than the US invaded and occupied us, wouldn't you do all those things and more?
I would, to restore what i would feel to be the rightful and lawful Constitution and representative government in my country.
and i would consider myself a freedom fighter.
This is not the kind of question that has a right or wrong answer, rather, it is a question that will have a different answer depending on the person asked and the circumstances involved. its a matter of perspective.

When you invade my country, and I fight you, I am a freedom fighter.
I believe, when you had your American revolution, you brought in Germans, french, and other mercenaries to help you obtain your freedom.

Please provide the list of names of the so called "liberal democrats" who have called the insurgents freedom fighters. Did you check their voter registration card or something? It's all supposition as far as I'm concerned. Making cute bullet points next to your listed items doesn't make it credible. Sorry.
