1) Right wing neocons:

Democrats are not unpatriotic, nor are they traitors. Anyone who calls a member of Congress a "traitor" or claims "the Democrats want to lose the war" have no credibility at all. These people are more of a danger to America than the terrorists ever could be, because they destroy America from within while cloaking themselves under the guise of Patriotism. They attack anyone who doesn't agree with them, but never with substantive argument, only personal attacks because they no nothing other than what allows them to pound their chests with false bravado.

2) Left wing conspiracy theorists

Enough with the "Bush planned 9/11" talk unless you can come up with CONCLUSIVE proof that it's true. It's hard to make the claim that the administration could be that sinister and mastermind such an event yet also claim they can't do anything right about Iraq. If Bush is really that inept, it shouldn't be hard to take him down with conclusive evidence.

Illiberal - that's taken out of context, you are just repeating the GOP spin. I actually saw online all the youtube broadcasts of it cut it off at that spot to present it out of contect.

Here's what he actually said:

"Well, that would be a real big problem for us, no question about that, simply because of those 47 Blue Dogs. I think there would be enough support in that group to want to stay the course, and if the Republicans were to remain united, as they have been, then it would be a problem for us."

In other words, Clyburn did not say that good news from Iraq is bad news for Democrats in electoral terms, but rather that a recommendation from Petraeus against withdrawal would impede Democrats' efforts to garner support in Congress for legislation to begin withdrawal. Indeed, Clyburn added: "None of us want to see a bad result in Iraq. If we are going to get in position to yield a good result, I think Democrats want to see that."

But your spin kinda proves my point.

When you go to another country(Dixie Chicks), especially a terrorist sponsering country(Kucinich, Pelosi) and down your own country and apologize for defending ourselves, that's not only unpatriotic it's close to treasonous. It's bad enough when you stand in the street and shout it or spew it on the internet, but to go to our enemies and say it is just wrong.

>they destroy America from within while cloaking themselves under the guise of Patriotism.

No, this is not correct. They destroy American from within BECAUSE they are true patriots. That's what patriotism is: Love and support for one's country above all other countries. It is a completely flawed philosophy and anyone who follows it, whether they are liberal or conservative, is irrational and is just doing what the government wants them to do. It's not just the neo-nazis that are bad, patriotism in itself is illogical and does not help human civilization.

James Clyburn said: "Progress in Iraq will be bad for our (Democrat) party."

How is one to take that?

Reverse the rotation on Kucinich's little jaunt to Syria.
Will you apologize for his actions?

I see jrdsmith has raised the point.
Visible also is the way it was maneuvered around for no rep. has traveled to a hostile country and denounced America.

True enough, but the Dems are politically invested in things going bad in Iraq. They have painted themselves into that corner.

1. Liberals are wrong.
They call the terrorists freedom fighters and vote against troop funding.

2. Right on, preach it.
