Most people need to feel the pain of something in order to relate to it. It's human nature. Most leaders don't feel the pain of poverty so they create laws from their prospective. But I still think killing people just to get your point across is horrible. There is no justification for terrorism. Other oppressed people found ways to solve problems without violence.

Poverty is a huge problem that does lead to people acting desperate. What baffles me, is that the majority of the people in the middle east are poor except the sheiks and prince, and kings, etc….these people get rich from selling oil, they do not spend the money to help their people or their country, and yet the poor people in the middle east hate us!! Shouldn't they direct their hat towards the sheiks and kings who do not give a damn about anyone other than themselves?? That is when religion comes into it, the religious leaders tell the poor to direct their anger and hate to America, even thought it should be directed at the sheiks etc...

Except of course that most of these terrorists are from middle class or wealthy backgrounds in poor countries. The problem is nationalism - not in the conventional sense of being associated with a sovereign state, but in a more general sense. Read Orwell's "Notes on Nationalism" and tell me that that isn't the problem everywhere there's serious conflict.

Poverty is not the cause of the world's problems - rather, it is the result of power-hungry, morally-bankrupt leaders who have an inflated ego such that they feel entitled to rob the people to provide multiple castles and bank accounts for themselves.

Poverty does breed terrorism but remember this;
Most of The 9/11 attackers were middle class, many were college students.

The world will realize it if and when there is no poverty. There will always be underprivileged and low income families. It's nothing new.
