Think of his favourite thing, a hobby, food, interest etc. What ever his absolutely favourite thing to do is, plan your evening round it. E.g. if its football, get him some cans of beer chilled and his favourite pizza ready to cook (or take away menu if he prefers) and watch some sports with him (don't know if there is anything on today, if not get a DVD with something on that you know he will like.
Or alternatively go for the romance and cook him a gorgeous dinner and get dressed up for him. Have a can of beer / bottle wine chilled and waiting for him too. Put some music on and turn off the TV - make your own entertainment!
I'm guessing he will be pretty tired if he's been away on a training course so don't plan anything big. Let him relax and unwind!!

He'll probably be tired and just want to chill out.
Make him something really nice to eat - something you know is his favourite - and then pour him a nice glass of wine or beer when he returns.

Make a paper chase round the house, ring him or leave a note on door to say come in so he doesn't answer the door, make him go to different places in the house downstairs first and leave a piece of sassy clothing at each place, then on last note say go to bedroom and lie in a sassy little night dress or bra and knickers waiting for him, he will be the happiest bloke in the world lol, it's brill for adding excitement to your night.
He won't be able to resist ya babe lol x

If he is an average bloke, raunchy sex will probably do it and you will still have 23 hours left to do something else worthwhile that you enjoy as well.

have a bath ready for him, while he is in it pop something in the oven. when he gets out open some wine and take him to bed after you pleasure eachother get up and have some food. simple but effective.

yeah hes gonna want sex. so as long as whatever you do ends in sex he should be happy :)
