Probably because the decision is made prior to the interview as to what the answer will be. Why would you go on a show that was going to bash the heck out of you no matter what you say? Why would you go on a show that frequently ignores the truth and spins the whitehouse talking points all day long?
So...here's a question...Gen. Petreaus had one exclusive interview after his testimony...Fox. Is that because it's fair and balanced, or because they have a format that supports everything the President believes?
I don't see liberals staying away from Tim Russert, and he's about as tough as they come when you talk about asking questions that are BASED ON FACT.
yesterday, Mr. O'Reiley was making a lot of hay because MoveOn.org is pressuring candidates, and he seems shocked...SHOCKED....that anyone would do that...called it dangerous. So tell me, why has Mr. O'Reiley been so silent on the pressure applied by the Christian Coalition? Because...it's not fair, nor balanced. It's skewed.

Rush is a verbal animal who speaks off the cuff. He hates some Democrats and has some wacko morality ideas. Fox news is often projecting a bias that is suspicious at best. When you have Newscorp at the core it's hard to say what the basis of the comments are and what drives them.
Why anyone is afraid of the obvious is beyond me. Thank you.

Liberals are not afraid of anything! Cons can't you find anyone but drug attics and lawbreakers to represent your party anymore? Rush Limbaugh is a criminal that should be prosecuted for illegal drug use. Fact don't concern him and making fun of terminally ill people is fun for him, it shows that the people that listen to him aren't any better.

If you would bother to check out what Limbah is saying, you'd find out a lot of it is twisted to outright lying.
He's a god damned entertainer.
The left is just as guilty.
Fox News is unfair and biased.
All the network news are unfair and biased.
We've gone from Cronkite being regarded as the most honest man in America to tabloid journalism. That should tell you something.
I know, I worked in the business of news for a decade and got sick and tired of the crappy way the news is reported.

No, it's because a sufficient portion of the public is sufficiently - shall we say... - unsophisticated to actually believe that drivel and that it is having an actual influence on politics. Anyone with a critical mind clearly sees their mindless propaganda for what it is, but unfortunately, a good proportion of the population still falls for it and such low-end tavern level discourse is polluting the whole political agenda.

I think conservatives are terrified of Bill Maher and John Stewart, so they stay on Fox where they will be pandered and genuflected to and won't have to actually answer any real questions.
