I have loved the RE series since I can remember and I think the movies were absolutely AWFUL!!!!!! The first one was okay. I think all of us were expecting a recreation of RE1 in the movie (with a mansion, Chris, Wesker, etc) but if you're going to take some elements from the game and make a movie to take in a different direction that's one thing. Its apocalypse that really blew it for me. In that one they tried to incorporate more elements from the game to make the fans happier, but they ended up just making things worse. Now Jill has to interact with characters they made up for the movie, Nicholai dies in two seconds, and Nemesis turns good. TURNS GOOD!!!!!!!! They can't make Nemesis good! Its just not right! And even after that they introduce more game characters, only under different names. For example in RE: Apocalypse, they introduce a Dr. who invented the virus and has a small daughter equivalent to Sherry and named them they Ashfords, and then call other people the Birkins. If you were going to make a disney movie with characters as classic as Mickey and Donald. It would make absolutely no sense to call them Mickey Duck and Donald Mouse would it? That would just confuse all the fans of disney... so why do they do it??? The answer to that question is beyond me. The director/cast claim to be fans of the series, but I have a hard time believing that.... such a dissapointment....

They are decent movies and about as good as you would be able to do for RE. Not only does the RE franchise have a nonsensical overall plot, but if you just made movies straight from the game plots, RE fans would be even more dissapointed than they are (because they'd be able to predict what's coming).

I love the RE game series, I just wish the movies actually followed the game's plot. I would really like to see a movie of RE4, but that probably won't happen.

Yes I am (RE2, RE3 Nemesis, RE4, and going to play RE5 when it comes out). I didn't really see the first movie (I'm hoping to see it before the third movie comes out) but Apocalypse was fscking awesome and I can't wait for Extinction.

It had almost no relation to the video game series, even though there were similar events, such as the nuke fired at Racoon City.
The new movie, Extinction, may just stray farther away.

Garbage...absolute garbage.
Only redeeming factor is that they have Mila in them.
