Wow, even Waylon himself said Bob Wills was the king. Even though i,m from Texas... I'll have to go with Hank Sr. His voice and his music could reach in you and make you feel the pain he was suffering. But I'd put Waylon on my top 5 for sure.

I admit to the confused mind , but i would have to put Hank Williams in the first spot and probably Hank Jr in 2nd followed of course by Waylon and Willie...but of course this is just my opinion

I really can't rank these performers because they are/were all tremendously talented, soulful and beautiful. Here's who I love: Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Emmielou Harris and Marty Robbins.
