Why do they state that they now have to dip into the 'search for Maddie' fund to pay for their legal defense? Money was given to try to find this child and to pay for detectives and information regarding her disappearance, not the feeding and upkeep of Kate and Gerry and to pay for big buck lawyers. They are supposedly high price doctors, why can't they afford their own legal team and if they are so innocent, why aren't the lawyers lining up to represent them for the good press involved. Why is money being diverted from actively searching for this lost child, whether she be dead or alive?

They are British, it is just flooding our airwaves here, and I find the situations described as rather odd, as I would never touch money that was designated to finding my child if I knew there was a possibility of finding her, I feel they know where she is.....

Wow I have not heard this but they are pro ably dipping in cuz they are guilty and know she is dead Sorry it sounds really bad but I would be damed if it was my child to dipp into the fund and I am not no high paying doctor (I make a lil bit more then min wage) No one wants to represent them cuz they are guilty at the very least they are guilty of neglect and any lawyer would know that

didn't keep up with the story. they never found the child? they bringing charges against the parents now? where is this "fund" coming from? is this donations? if that be the case they have no claim to it.
the little i do know about this case (and i may have it all wrong), is that these jass acks left their child "home alone" in a hotel room while they went out to dinner. this was in spain or portugal? they should be slapped on general principles, and charged with abandonment, and this regardless of finding the child.

i think they got refused it they shouldnt need the money if they r innocent they wont have anything 2 worry about will they????
