I live in London and I'm hoping to go to the US with my family soon.
I think it's so incredible, the food, clothes, shops, the huge spaces of land etc.

What state do you reccomend I go to?
I've only been once and I went to Orlando, Florida. I dont remember it too much as I was young.

Take into account the family has 2 teens in it, and grown ups.

Well, since you are going just to visit, I would go to Illinois. Fly into Chicago and see the city. They have many things to do there. Then, drive up to Wisconsin and see some of the countryside. They have some great farms. This way you get to see some great shops in the city of Chicago and some great open spaces of land in Wisconsin.

well since you live in the large city of London , you might like to live in the suburbs of New York city or the suburbs of Chicago where you can still get the food, clothes, shops and the huge spaces of land and beauty of the countryside. But you have to remember it gets much colder than London.
Atlanta, GA, might be better for you, as the temperature would be closer to the climac that you are use to.

New York City
Washington DC (if you're really into history)
San Diego or LA
Chicago
Minneapolis

are all great cities with everything you mentioned: shopping, dining, fun activities for all ages, etc.

Absolutely dont go to Orlando. There is nothing special there, only commercialism. If you are thinking Florida...how about Miami?
