Douching in general is a bad idea. The vagina is self-cleaning and that will just mess up the pH, especially if the area's already irritated.

I can't see why it wouldn't be "safe," but it is not advised. Douching is one of the things that *promote* yeast infections by changing the normal chemical makeup of the vagina.

Ask your doctor. Most doctors will tell you that you should NEVER douche, except for specific medical reasons when prescribed, anymore than you should squirt water into your nose or throat to keep them clean. The natural fluids in these areas do their jobs much better when not interfered with.

I wouldn't recommend it. Douching can actually cause yeast infections because it disrupts the PH of the vaginal area. It flushes away good bacteria which leaves room for the bad bacteria to grow.

I wouldn't douche at ALL, it gets rid of the bodies natural cleansing fluids and can cause infections.

everyone has their own opinion on douching,, some feels u shouldnt do it at all. others feel it should be done after sex or ur monthly cycle. its ur choice. if u been doing it all along and feel u need to do it then go for it. if ur asking like u just use the meds and still on it then no. if ur done with the meds and ur infection is gone and u want to feel gresh then go for it
