Isn't it cute how people who don't know anything about you act like they do?

I totally played pop warner! (I know. I'm awesome.)

People, I don't pop warner is impressive. I'm just saying, to assume I've never played football is just straight up wrong.

Seriously, though, I was so awesome at pop warner. Really, everyone should stack their team with girls. We mature faster. At that 12-13, girls totally have the advantage. At 13, I was 5'10" and could kick the asses of all those skinny boys!

old dirty bastard: Maybe the bias against girls is still strong in Alabama or something, but I grew up in CA. The coaches LOVED me, and my teammates were great. Several girls played at different age levels. The high school coach even told me I should come out for the team! (He didn't think I'd be good or anything, he was just a nice guy.) There actually were 2 girls on my high school team. (Not kickers, but they didn't play either.)

I've never heard of a kid not being allowed to play because of his size. But that would be too funny if they kept a girl from playing because she thought she'd beat up on the boys!

It might be cute, but it's true. No other conference has 8 quality teams in it that can legitimately contend for the conference title, and I don't think Kentucky is that far off from making it 9. Only Vanderbilt and Mississippi State are really awful, and Ole Miss is a year or two away from becoming respectable.

No other conference is that deep. The Big XII has maybe 5 or 6 decent teams (ISU, KU, KSU, CU, BU, and OSU are pitiful), the Big Ten has maybe 3 right now, the Pac Ten is getting better as Washington improves and Cal, ASU, USC, UCLA, and Oregon are decent, the Big East has three good ones, four so-so ones, and one dreadful team (Syracuse), and the ACC is just a mess.

Fun facts for those SEC fans out there.

Can you name which conference has currently lost its last 6 consecutive games vs teams from the Big East?
If you said "SEC" you are correct !! ( Thats thanks to one of your "top 20" rated teams losing to an unranked BIG EAST team. Talent top to bottom my aching @$$.)

Can you name the conference which as of last weeks games has only a 50 % winning record?
Again, if you said the SEC, you're correct (only 6 of the 12 teams remain undefeated after 2 games, and 1-1 doesnt count as winning)

Ok, now lets try a tricky one.
Which SEC team is only 24th in the nation in overall points scored per game?
If you picked the top nationally ranked SEC team from LSU, then by god you know college ball.
Florida is doing a bit better at #16 in points per game.
For you Big East haters, Louisville is #1 with 63.5 points per game, while WVU is 4th with 55 ppg.

Of course, just to be fair, since a PAC 10 fan posted this question, lets ask a question about your conference.

If the PAC is such a great conference, why are only 60% of your teams having a winning season at this point?
If you said "Because the PAC 10 isn't nearly as good as they wish they were." You get another one right.
I mean, Oregon St losing to Cincinatti ? Thats as bad as losing to USF folks.

Now add up the total of all the questions you answered correctly to see that neither of these two continuously overpublicised conferences is on top right now.

As far as pop warner goes, I find it highly unlikely that you really played at all. The opposition to girls playing is still very strong, even at Pop Warner level, and if you really had that big a size advantage, the league wouldn't allow you to play for fear of injury to the other kids. Happens all the time, someone has some sumo wrestler sized 12 year old, and they wont let them play because of the size difference.

SEC is the most dominate conference. They are stacked from top (Florida or LSU) to Bottom (Vandy or MSU). The Big East over rated. The so called "good teams" Louisville and West Virginia play absolutly no body. So you really can't that their BCS prospects. The Big Ten has only Penn State stepping up this year. There is no secret, the Big Ten can not stop spread offense. I don't even want to go into how over rated the PAC 10 is. Just because USC gets a million votes from the coach's poll means nothing.( half coming from the 31000 teams in California) The Big XII is fixated on playing only C-USA or Mountain West teams. And Finally the ACC Can't beat SEC team if their life depened on it. So yes the SEC is the toughest conference in the NCAA.

The SEC is the best hands down, and this is coming from a USC fan, that being said all the teams in the sec aren't as great as they are made out to be. LSU is for real, florida might be for real, auburn well they just lost bama=? and everybody knows Arkansas is set for at least 3 losses this year. TOp to bottom best conference but the best team isn't in that conference.

You must be a Pac-10 fan. How many conferences have 6 teams in the top 25? I hear you thinking, but the only one is the SEC. Thank you for the compliment on how cute the SEC fans are. It means a lot!

GEAUX TIGERS!!

you had to know that if you post a petty insult as a question, you were going to get people shooting petty insults right back at you
and saying great things like "geaux" and "their" instead of "they're"

but to answer, I 100% agree with SEC fans, even though the Big 10 (for example) beat them in 2/3 Bowl Games last year, the SEC is SO FAR SUPERIOR it's not even funny.......
sarcasm....obviously

really though, The SEC is probably the best top to bottom, and right now....LSU looks really tough
so they really probably are the best conference....

I am with you on most of their fans (on the internet at least) being extremely biased/ignorant about the whole situation.

O.K. sweet hart, I think all that hairspray you put up in your hair has gone to your head. If you payed as much attention to college football as you do trying to diet and shed that freshman 15 you done packed on, you might be better informed. Listen here, I am a SWAC fan. But everybody in their right mind knows the SEC is the best college football conference. I suggest you put a T.V in front of your dinner table and watch some Sports Center while you ingest that entire side of beef.

Yes, yes, SEC has a bunch of sorority girls on their D-Line and secondary. I think I saw strong breeze blow over one of their linebackers.

Jesus H. Christ. Guys on the majority have a natural physical advantage over girls, we don't get periods, we don't have babies, life sucks get a helmet.

I powerlifted at 138 and I could bench press well over 300 lbs. I am by no means a gifted collegiate football player who weighs over 230lbs and 2% body fat. I just don't think cute has anything to do with it.
