Don't try cars - the automobile didn't exist in 1780 in America or anywhere else (though there had been invented a steam car in France). People rode horses and had carriages.

About the animals - we haven't created any new animals so if it lives where you live now, it probably was there in 1780 as well. Out in the midwest, there were plenty of Bison in America; but Americans didn't live in the midwest yet in 1780 - that was all wilderness.

Ben Franklin was always impressed with the wild population of turkey - I get the impression that Mr. Franklin was fond of turkey.
