When will the day came that we can all meet in peace
For the unprivelaed beings who live on the streets
For the teary-eyed parents standing at their child's grave
Because overseas fighting took more than a few days
When will the day come that we can finally see
The sun rise up and actually feel free
If the American Dream is really true
Then why hasn't its promises followed through
When will the day come that we can sleep without danger
When violence won't be the only thing known to a stranger
When will the day come that we can sleep without fear
When we can get through that night for this day to appear

Lack of imagery. Simple language. Very heartfelt, but the style is boring...

the poem is really touching. the person who has written it has surely felt the pain.....of the people!! the language is simple and apeals to all . it is a self enlghting poem ... which tells us to stand up and do sumthng good and stop the evil !! it is we who can free ourselvz from all dis torture n tyranny . life cumz once so v should live it in the bst possible way (atleast dats wt i thnk) this poem can have tremendous effects on ppl who really are ... interested in guiding the world to a more prosperous future. This is not only subjected to the AMERICANS but to all the humans on MOTHER EARTH !! as humans we should not forget wts humanity ......
i thnk iv written 2 much but i thtought it was essential!! the person who has written this is a no ordinary being ... infact poets never are " with floating hair n flashing eyes" ---COLERIDGE.
