I also agree that Supernatural is similar, with the partners solving crimes with supernatural elements to them. I would also go for Bones, if you liked the chemistry between Mulder and Scully, as Booth and Brennan exhibit that same chemistry as they solve crimes.
Regarding the movie, it looks like it could be happening. Here is an interview with David Duchovny in which he discusses it...

Supposedly, Gillian Anderson is also on board and production might start as early as this fall...

(And I am mid-way through season 3 in my re-watching of the series! I had forgotten how good some of the episodes were, and it is interesting to watch them one after another instead of waiting a week (or weeks) between episodes.)

You could try Threshold which was similar tho it has been cancelled.A brand new series on Living atm is Blood Ties.A female PI teams up with a male vampire to solve supernatural mysteries. It's only been going for about 6 episodes but i'm already hooked!!
It depends on what you like but there's Heroes on BBC1 or older shows like Hex or Millennium on Sky.
You can try but like me, nothing will ever beat Mulder & Scully. For sure they have signed up for a new fim.Chris Carter is looking at locations already & it's meant to be out sometime in 2009.Can't wait!!

What about Supernatural??
Some of the producers/directors/writers from the X-Files now do some of the episodes of Supernatural.
Kim Manners, John Shiban and David Nutter spring to mind immediately.

How about rewatching all nine seasons of the X-Files?! (That's my plan, anyway!) As far as the movie, I'm not sure if David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have "officially" agreed, but I think they're both on board. This website has more information: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0443701/
