Actually, a time IS coming when the American Classicalist voice WILL be silenced, as was the case with the Jew in 1930's Germany (see Daniel 8, 11; Zechariah 14; Revelation 11). Y'shua gave us an extended dissertation of the big picture of the situation currently unfolding (St. Matthew 24, 25). The wars and insurrections that, Y'shua warned us, would precede the taking of liberty are underway; when the roundups begin, the demands for redress will be falling upon deaf ears, just as in the years prior to the Declaration of Independence, and just as happened in the Golden Age of the Third Reich. The St. Birgitta Society has been quietly documenting what may very well happen during or immediately after the Obama Administration, and things will be quite gruesome, if the St. Birgitta findings are any clue. Several facilities formerly run by other Federal agencies have been quietly reassigned to Homeland Security with no fanfare, after modifications to make them suitable as Assembly and/or Relocation Centers (updated from those operated by the War Relocation Administration in 1942-46); only the intended inmate class is unknown..

dee k that was hilarious. But like everyone has said 'mum is no longer the word' must be a new expression and the antithesis of 'mum is the word' which means to keep something secret.

"Mums the word' is the term i have been familiar with ,up until now .I guess times have changed drastically , if mum is no longer the word , it only goes to show that discretion ,reliability & trust have taken a nose dive .Are the americans alone responsible for this change ? I wouldn't know for certain but i think not ,maybe it is a world wide phenomenon .

'Mums The Word means you are being told something that is not to be repeated.
So I guess, Mums no longer the word must mean that its no longer a secret and one can talk about it.

It seems to be a variation on "mum's the word" where "keeping mum" means keeping quiet.
So the new version may refer to talk shows, or political leakages or something.

"Mum's the word" means keep quiet; don't reveal anything. So your phrase suggests that whatever it was is no longer secret.

perhaps this is the antithesis of the expression " mum's the word " meaning its no longer mandatory for people to be discrete all the time .........everythings out in the open ......lesbo's , gays , scandals , etc etc..........a sign of changing times.
