I have, but they dont know how long I'll be, so take a chance if they nose about or if I'm going out I leave a key with a neighbour and they are there with them. But if you use a reputable company nothing should go missing and if so you can claim from them. Personally never had a problem.

Had done! Couldn't take time off work to "supervise". Had the bathroom redone 3 years ago, paid for a plumber to fit a new bath suite, he had done a shoddy job and left a load of mess underneath the bath!! Hubby wasn't a happy bunny since he paid out about £500 for the job to bo done!

My sisters' friend left a workman in the house while the other rooms were locked. The next day she went out and came back to find him in the room asleep. Aparently, he had a 'cut' of the front door key.

Yes, use reputable companies and never had a problem. Don't want to use holiday allowance on spending time with workmen!

Only once, when they were friends and I could trust them 100%. Any others we have had have to wait outside while I do the school run. Other than that, I try to work around their times.
I do not want strangers in my home when I'm not there, simple!

Only if i knew them and even at that only if i really really had to go out! No way would i if i didn't know them. You cant trust anybody even if their not going to steal anything they could be raiding your underwear drawer and trying on your knickers!
