Mine was the decision to stop sun worshiping at age 18. Now I look much younger than people my same age because my skin isn't all aged from the sun like theirs is.

Thought about taking a year off from college after my junior year, decided to stick it out. Probably would never have finished if I had taken a break.

The BEST decision I ever made was to WALK AWAY from everything I earned, saved and had to LEAVE behind an abusive, violent and sociopathic ex from a short disaster of a marriage.
ALTHOUGH it cost me a ton of money (and yes, I WAS the one who earned it) ... and he destroyed a lot of personal things ... I,
over the past 2 decades
have been able to not just SURVIVE the debts and loss, but have THRIVED and built a life for myself (and the children ... which I raised as a Long Term Single Parent) ... and did my best to make sure that the ex would NOT abuse us again. (Unfortunately ... every so often ... he would torment us -- forcing visitation (where he abused them), he did NOT provide for them (violated the order of support -- for their entire childhood), he Burglarized my HOME/Car/Office (and took personal items and things that he felt he was "owed" even after the divorce), he Stole my Identity (and was arrested for it, waiting for the court to decide on sentencing this time too), and ...
NOW as an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree ... I am FREE to do what I want .. and I'd NEVER be at this point (with MY OWN HOME, MY Pensions and everything -- including MY LIFE (he has definitely tried to kill me))
IF I did not WALK AWAY From what I EARNED so many years ago ... to LIVE, to SURVIVE, to THRIVE ... and being the RESPONSIBLE person that I was ... I DO LIVE!

my best decision was to get married and have a beautiful family, that i am so very proud of, i often think if i never made that decision i might have been all alone, but now i have 2 beautiful daughters and 3 wonderful grandsons.
