I hope so, its been 3 years since we've seen the leafs in the playoffs. Missing by 1 point is heartbreaking, especially with NYI-NJ last year. I think the Leafs wouldve had a shot at Buffalo last year as they played decent against them in the season (look at the numbers). I think adding a scorer in blake and a solid goalie in Toskala (look at his numbers) will help. Im guessing they take 6th-8th.

The proverbial how will the greatest team in the NHL do this year. I do not see why they would not make at least first round. Then again, the way the luck fairy seems to miss the Maple Leafs locker room I do not know. Providing that everyone can remain healthy this year and play as a team and not get selfish as they have in the past, it should be a hell of a ride. Barring all else, if they do have a crappy year(we all know they won't) as long as they beat the Habs and the Sens this season all will be good.

I think the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to make the playoffs. Around 7th or 8th place tho.

I doubt they'll make it, honestly, but it will be close. Their goaltending situation is going to be better with Toskala, but other than that, what did they do to improve? They overpaid for Jason Blake, who doesn't stand a snowflake's chance in Key West of matching what he did last year. Not that he's a bad pickup, but the truth is that a lot of teams in the East made significant improvements this offseason. Tampa and the Islanders stand to fall out of the playoff race, but Washington, Florida, Carolina, and Philly will all be better. Ultimately, it is going to come down to whether or not guys like Stajan, Steen, and Wellwood step up and play like stars. It can happen. Toronto will definitely compete for a spot, but I wouldn't go to Vegas with it.

Should be a playoff team but most likely will get bounced in the first round.

Unfortunatly I think the Leafs are really on the way down.
The heart and soul were Gary Roberts and Domi.

I see them finishing 6th overall in the East. They'll get to the first round but lose in 6.
