I had Hepatitis B, and they started me on clear liquids, then introduced bland foods. Mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, oatmeal, stuff like that. My doctor also prescibed a daily dose of Metamucil. I don't know why. I think the point is to keep your liver from having to work too hard while it's sick.
This isn't something to mess with. If you aren't under a doctor's care, you should be. I was hospitalized for 11 days! I didn't know it, but they were waiting for me to die! My parents had the arrangements made, for pity's sake!
Nobody knew how tough I really was. I wasn't told I was supposed to die, so I didn't. I kept asking when I could go home, I didn't feel sick. So after 11 days the doctor told my parents I wasn't going to die, so they might as well take me home.
My mom had figured if I was going to die, I might as well die happy, so she'd been sneaking in Quarter Pounders with cheese to me, lol. I have often wondered if that had anything to do with me pulling through? I don't recommend Quarter Pounders as medication, this is just what I experienced. She cut them out once it was decided I was going to live.
A person with Hepatitis B should be in a hospital under quarantine, like I was, being fed a bland diet. That's what I know, or at least it was the treatment of choice when I had it.
What ticks me off the most is, with the current technology at least, I cannot give blood, even though the blood banks are always begging for my type. I cannot donate bone marrow, or my organs, or anything! That makes me madder than anything.
Oh, yeah, I'm not supposed to drink alcohol, ever. My liver can't handle the load.
My advice, get to your doctor, they'll tell you what you should do. Good luck!

Have you checked with a doc of Chinese or Ayurvedic medicine? I'm sure they could give you great dietary guidelines.
