being alone

Not being able to do the things that i can now.
And being put in a home to be looked after by 17 yr old schoolgirls that have absolutely no respect for themselves let alone for you.
Screaming at the top of your voice for help because youv'e been sitting in a pool of your own excrement for 2 hrs whilst they "av a ***" outside and talk about how much Charlie they snorted the night before and who they had sex with.
Been there, seen it ,sacked the scumbags.
Nuffsaid

Well we all gotta die sometime.......but I guess since I work in a nursing home I would say being put into one of those. Some families never come visit, there's rarely anything entertaining, all the people around me coughing, sneezing, yelling, choking at mealtimes, friends made there dying. The fact that they are often understaffed and my cares and needs will suffer for that.

Being alone, having no one to share things with. Part of the beauty of living is in the sharing each day with people you love, and care about. If you had people in your life, even if you were old, wrinkled, had falling boobs, and missing teeth you could still feel loved and happy. On the other hand alone and beautiful isn't worth anything......who's gonna see you, the goldfish?

Going out of date...and being one of those oldies that kids have no respect for, looking on what’s going on and thinking it's a shame that things aren't how they used to be. Above all, the increased likelihood of seeing friends/family members dying.

It used to be being old & angry. When I'd see seniors looking grumpy or sour, I'd wish I wouldn't end up like them. C'mon! After so many years, you haven't found contentment?

Happily, I no longer have this fear. I'll be the old man who walks down the road holding onto my wife's hand and smiling.

My independence!!! My freedom!!! Most of all the things I love to do in life can't be done when your old. I would have to complete change to accomidate being slower, less agile, less strong, and any other limitations form old age.
