I'm the Knight, bouncing around in erratic yet predictable fashion, sometimes not being noticed by the other side (or even my side!) until it's too late, never ever being straightforward with relevant things. And I'm quite the stallion, too . . .

One caveat: If there was a Dragon piece, you know that would be me. :P

I am the Queen, of course! Now, are you an honorable knight like Gawain or Percival, or are you looking for a scandal like Lancelot? I've got my eye on you! : )

I am also the knight; I have the capacity to move in many directions, though I tend to move in very conservative and sometimes limited ways. I can be predictable, but am often not seen as a threat until it is too late. I have been described as a warrior - assess the situation, solve the problem, move on. Like the knight, I am not the best person for a long siege, as with trench warfare, but for striking while the iron is hot - like the cavalry, or the joust.....

In the chessboard of life we initially start as a pawn... the most elementary form of life... nothing within our control! As life passes by... until after 7.3 million manifestations in the insect, plant and animal form... we finally reach level of human beings! As human beings we sometimes behave like a Knight and sometimes a stallion!
Life definitely is erratic at times but never always! Having born a human being... we have the power of discrimination that distinguishes us from animals! We are no more a pawn in the hands of God Almighty. Manifesting and controlling destiny... Every human being becomes a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or prophet Mohammed in this very life!
To manifest destiny is difficult but not impossible! Most human beings on Mother Earth simply while away their life without ever fixing a goal in life... like a rudderless boat going round and round in the ocean! The moment we fix goal in our life (something dear to our heart... indulging in which we lose track of time)... the journey is half complete!
In the chessboard of life every human being has the potential of becoming a King or the Queen. Amongst 6500 million people how many manifest destiny... Only a handful like Bill Gates or JRD Tata! Life is not a destination... it is a journey! Living life truthfully is the essence of life! Only when we practice absolute truthfulness can we hear the voice of our soul atman within.
The sweet small inner voice of our soul atman that seems to come from within our heart always guides us on the right path. Guided by the voice of our soul atman human beings reach the level of Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed! One practically becomes a man god in present life!
All inconveniences, erratic behavior, vicious tendencies stem when human beings fail to make timely decisions! In absence of proper decisions at the right time... life loses its meaning! Everything seems lost... why indulge and remain unhappy! Life is to be lived at its best. The form of human beings is the highest manifest stage in the cosmic life cycle.
Only as a human being one gains enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)... only then one becomes the King or the Queen on the chessboard of life... never otherwise! More on Destiny - http://www.godrealized.org/are_you_a_slave_of_your_destiny.html

I'm the pawn. I think my importance is unknown, especially by myself. Because of this no one expects me to use my en pass en, and knife them in the side:D
Also I think when I get to the other side of the board that is each chapter of my life, I will hopefully take on other characteristics.

I'm the board, just watching the game from a distance. Only problem is, wearing a checkered suit went out in the 70s.

I'm already at the office. Drudgery.
You guessed it: Pawn.
If I make it to the other side, I get to be any piece I want, though.

King. Most Important, yet one of the most vulnerable when it is alone by itself.

I would say the king...but it's not true.
Probably the horse. Just because it's the coolest looking piece.

i don't even mind who i am because if it's all that matters to me, then i wouldn't see others who they really are.
i think every person is every chess piece according to which situation he's into.
