Sachin Tendulkar made his test debut against Pakistan at Karachi on 15th November, 1989. He made his ODI Debut also against Pakistan at Gujranwala on 18th December, 1989.

His captaincy was not at all impressive. Under his captaincy India played 25 tests, won 4, lost 9 and drawn 12. India played 73 ODI under his captaincy, won 23, lost 43, tied 1 and 6 no result.
