YES and NO

If you own a domain name which is the actual name for a URL or website and it is a one or two word name or a 3 to 5 letter name like UAAPR.com that can be used by a company or anyone who can make the initials into their business name or organization then yes there is a market out there that people pay high money for.
Several websites like GoDaddy.com and Sedo.com have auctions for names that are expired or people have had and are selling to make profit. You can view them and see some of the most highly priced auctions are for the types of names I mentioned. One word .COM names sometimes reach 7 figure numers on occassion.

On the flipside if someone is trying to sell you names or a site is trying to get you to register names through them then unless you want a name that is unique and you are going to use it the odds are against you that you can resell it for profit UNLESS you develop it into an actual website that attracts visitors and can generate CashParking revenue by advertising. Most .com .org .net websites and names are already registered that are any value at all.
You cant expect someone to pay high dollar for itsallagoodday.com when most likely they can make a variation of the words and register it at cost. Now names like
shoe.com shoe.net and shoe.org that are one word names that can be used in generic or specific applications are worth alot but as I said they are all bought up and being used.

Yes, no and maybe....

If you have a domain name that someone else wants, they may be willing to offer you a large sum to buy that name from you. When the Internet first began, and there were a limited number of options on domain names, some of those sold for "big" prices. However today, with the increase in high level domain extensions (meaning if you can't get "microsoft.com", you can use "mircrosoft.org" or "microsoft.us" or "mircosoft.biz", etc) it is becoming rarer that a domain name is worth big money.

But if you can come up with the right name, and register it before anyone else, it is possible that someone may offer you big money to get that name from you. (I believe the highest price paid for a domain was for "sex.com" a couple years back)

However, the odds of you getting the right name are probably less then the odds of winning the lottery. So I would not put a lot of time or money into trying to do it....

i might individually in simple terms submit an uncomplicated one website that asserts "this area is on the industry" and contain an e mail form or some variety of link the place somebody can deliver grants or positioned up your cost and somebody might e mail you a deal.
