I am white, officialy British, although I would say English, nominaly Christian, CofE but in reality very agnostic.
All the Poles, Russians, Ukrainians and Italians I have so far met have all been aslo white, nominally christian. As have most of the Scotts and Welsh. Yet negative comments about any of these by someone like me would be called racist by most people not what it really is nationalistic.
(I noes me spellin un gramer is cr*** so correct iit if ya must (sic))

Under the Race Relations Act 1976, race is defined as not only ethnicity but also nationality.
In addition, Jews and Sikhs are races, whether they practise their religion or not.

No you got it all wrong. National origin is where you're born, what it says on your passport, your nationality. Race is the color according to the Olympics rings, there are only 5: White, Brown, Red, Black, Yellow. Well that's how it was were and when I grew up. Now they say "Caucasian" for white; Yellow became Oriental but now that's considered rude (not sure why? really hard to keep up!!??) and now it's "Asian" even though some Asians are Brown (Indians). South American would be the "Red" race as in "Native American" (these are the same race in USA and S. America, just different tribes: example: Cheyenne or Sioux vs. Maya or Aztec). It changes all the time. The term for "Black" where I grew up has changed and is considered rude in USA and "Black" where I grew up was considered racist. Hispanic is NOT an ethnicity! It means nothing!!! It means "comes from Spain". Do you have Spain blood or origins?? If not then your ethnicity is "Latin American" or "South American". Hope you get it right now, good luck!

Race is different .There are only few races like Europeans(whites),Africans,Asians,Polynatians,Mangols etc.One race may cover many nations.Races are according to physical features.Discrimination should not be made based on race,origin of country ,colour or language.The entire world belongs to human beings,what ever be their race.

Like you friend I hate it when I criticise another person and told I am being racist when in fact I am being Tribalist. I belong to the WASPs (White Anglo Saxon Protestants) tribe.
