I don't want to pay $30 for a new manuel when I only paid $15 for the machine. I just need to know how to thread it, or if any one has a link where I can download the manuel. Thanks!!!

Give the 10 to Wheelie. Have you attempted using the WWW with keywords? It's possible that SINGER offers a PDF file to download for just such a purpose. At the very least they should offer links to customer/tech service.

On a light hearted note; with no Offense meant at all; If you can get Manuel for $30, and He'll come out on a service call; it might be worth the money. :)

Below is a LINK I found in seconds. The person states some hatred of Singer but does offer advice through this e mail method. Just send an e mail.

Singers normally load: Load the bobbin first and place it in it's recess leaving about 2 inches of cotton hanging out the bobbin, Right? Next place your cotton reel on top of the machines thimble and thread it through the guide down round the tension (The two little whees clamped together) then up and through the arm (That goes up and down) then bring the thread down through the vertical guide then under and through the little ring guide then on to the needle feeding from the right. Once you've threaded the needle then pick up the bobbin thread by manually turning the big wheel on the right of the machine anti-clockwise until it goes into the bobbin area then pull the thread with your right hand and the bobbin thread will come up with it. All you have to do then is set your stitch length and tension. Good luck! Have a great day.

WOW, diy guy they came across as mean, not sure if you meant it that way. This is my other profile...i did search www. etc. what i found was that people would SELL them for upwards of $30. Now....hmmm...post a q & a on yahoo where someone who knows this stuff could tell me, or have to go out and buy a manual. I tried searching free manuels and the model i bought (i have the orginal receipt) is from 1979.......bit out dated so no one really has a FREE manuel...and im a tightwad...that's why i bought it at the thrift store. also WHEELIE, thanks a BILLION it helped..im playing with it now to get it to go!!!!
