Every individual molecule of water (H2O) has 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen . So the ratio is ALWAYS going to be 2:1 (hydrogen:oxygen).

The part of the question that gives you a volume (2 liters) is not needed to answer this question. It was put in there to confuse you.

Hope this helps!

In 2 what of water? In any case, water is H2O and thus for every atom of oxygen, there will be two atoms of hydrogen. So, 2 : 1 is the ratio.
