If you're just looking for distance, then try to throw the ball as close to a 45 degree angle as possible.
Imagine an imaginary line that runs from you, and goes straight up. That would be 90 degrees, and the ground would be 0 degrees, so 45 degrees would be the point directly in the middle.
If you release the ball at more than 45 degrees, then more of the force you spend on throwing the ball will be used in pushing the ball up, instead of away from you. So when the force you put on the ball runs out and gravity returns it to earth, it won't go as far.
If you release the ball at less than 45 degrees, the ball will travel farther initially, but when gravity takes over the ball will already be closer to the ground and won't take as long to come down. Therefore, the overall throw will be shorter.
Of course, this is only good if you want to see how far you can throw for fun or something. It wouldn't be a good to throw this way in an actual game because it will take longer for the ball to reach the base.

Strengthen your legs and core. Do explosive (light weight) twisting exercises like wood choppers (very good at simulating throwing for your legs and core). Any upper body work you do should be fairly light weight. You do however need to strengthen your rotator cuff which helps keep your shoulder stable so it can handle increased strain. The only other thing is just throw. Your mechanics are more important than anything when throwing. Even the slightest glitch can decrease velocity and distance. You want your mechanics to be smooth, fluid and easy to repeat. Any pitching coach or fielding coach would agree. BIG professional mlb athlete yeah right. If you are and that's the best you can come up with you shouldn't be. masterman 13 and only hitting 50 on a gun? You need to work on that it's just about slow enough to be a high school bp pitcher. You aren't very far off from being in high school either.

There is a little technique involved with respect as to your release point and how you grip the ball but for the most part throwing a baseball far is a God given ability that is not teachable. Even at the highest levels of baseball there is a wide variety of ability when it comes to throwing the ball. Running fast and throwing far are great assets to have if you love the game of baseball.

there is a technique... it would take a long time to discribe it but you can just watch MLB games and watch how the Outfielders throw the ball when they are trying to gun someone out. It's basically about your crow hop, getting your glove arm above your shoulder then you pull down your arm when you are going to throw. And no it is not a god given ability... it all depends on how much you are willing to practice.
