Because they turned a blind sye to it. They knew and know what's going on. They don't want to get caught either.

Because they are part of the problem. The better the players perform, the more money to be made for all concerns. The only reason I believe that the MLB hierarchy is speaking out about it now is because of the furor this cheating is causing among the public.

Are you talking about the players? They won't co-operate because they aren't going to spill the beans on any union brethren. MLB let this crap go on for over 10 years and when there is a public outcry , Selig finally pulls his head out of his ***. He is a hypocritical incompetent
To the amazing baldini.... you hit the nail on the head. Selig and the owners have known all along what was going on.

Baseball hasn't done anything right with this issue yet. Selig and the Players' Union are both at fault. The fact that they are hemming and hawing with the probe should come as no surprise. It is a big corporation and if they keep it up the dirt will disappear.

What is it that indicates to you that MLB is not cooperating? It was MLB themselves that assembled this independent group and gave them full authority to approach the task in any manner they wish. I believe the probe will be very revealing and I am certain MLB will address every issue once the final report is issued.

Half the Major League Players would be gone if they suspended all the users. Than they would have to cancel the season and there goes the $$$$$$.

Because of the Union. They are the ones who continue to make it hard for the players to have any credibility at all.
