Keep all documentation but you're probably wasting your money right now with a lawyer.

If they try to offer you a final settlement because you've reached the maximum medical improvement, then consult with a lawyer.

It would be in your best interest to have representation in this matter. Worker's Comp is a very tricky deal and without knowledge of the way the laws are, you may end up losing money or future medical treatment that you are entitled to, as well as potential partial disability due to your injury.

Most attorneys take WC cases on a contigency basis (they get paid if you get paid). My advice is to find one in your area, and go in for a free consultation. Take all of your medical records and any reports that were made regarding your injury and let them take a look. It's hard for someone online to tell you if your case would be good or not since all the details are not there, and well, very few that are on here are actual attorneys..they just play them online.

Good luck and I hope that you heal well, and soon.

You will have to prove that what happened to you was a result of some sort of negligence on the part of the employer.

If you have hard evidence of that, you may have a case.

Some attorneys may take this on contingency, that is they will take a % of any monetray award you receive and you dont have to pay anyting out of pocket.

Look at your yellow pages to find an employment attorney, or if no employement attorney can be found its possible that a personal injury attorney will take it.

GO GET A LAWYER NOW. ONE THAT SPECIALIZES IN YOUR TYPE OF CASE.

CALL THE STATE BAR IN YOUR STATE AND ASK FOR THREE NAMES OF ATTORNEYS . THEN YOU CAN PICK THE ONE YOU WANT. THEY SOMETIMES WILL GIVE YOU A BREAK IN FEE IF THE BAR HAS GIVEN YOU THEIR NAME.

DOCUMENT EVERYTHING BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS IMPORTANT.

YOU CAN GET A LAWYER THAT WILL TAKE THE CASE ON A CONTINGENCY FEE. ( PERCENTAGE.)

DO NOT DISCUSS THE CASE WITH ANYONE UNTIL AFTER YOU TALK TO YOUR LAWYER AND GET HIS ADVICE.

absolutely! A lawyer will ask questions like:

Where was the protective guard on that machine?
What jobs will you no longer be able to do now that you have been injured?
Nothing wrong with getting expert advise!

Did you make a report at work right away? If so I think you should go ahead as you will be unable to work for a while.
