Give it to them... I hate it when people say "they would only use it for drugs or alcohol"... Well who gives a rats **** what they use it for.. The fact is they don't have a house and you do so spare some god damn change....And don't say they should get a job... Um what jobs will they apply for and who would hire them without a house or clothes to wear??? Leave the homeless alone punks!!

Well, while I love the dirty, stinky, homeless man descriptor.. You take two minutes out of your day and get that man a burger. Every fast food place has a dollar menu. Throw in a drink, too.

depends how they ask. There is a man who has a home & has money but still asks if people have spare change. I always say yes I do have spare change but keep walking. He annoys me to the max.
Any other legit homeless person I tend to help if I can. But they rarely ask, not where I live anyways.

Walk away, they would only use it on drink or drugs.
There used to be a system in London where you could buy food vouchers and give them to the homeless instead of money ........ these almost always led to the receiver hurling abuse at the person giving it to them as they DID NOT want the money for food

I would rather give him/her food because if I chose to give money, there's no way of telling if it's going to spent on food or something else. Especially these days, all the "homeless" people I see are asking money only to buy beer, drugs or whatever illegal things they might need.

Walk right on by. I give to homeless charities every year. I'm not going to buy drugs for some street person. If they want my money they can go to the shelter & get food, a cot, & drug counselling.

That "dirty, stinky, homeless" person you speak of is my younger brother...and I often take money and clean clothes to him and offer to let him use my shower...even thought his paranoid schizophrenia keeps him from accepting.
...and I've done the same for other homeless people, as well...and I can tell when someone is "homeless" as opposed to someone who just doesn't want to work.
BTW - he doesn't drink or use drugs.

I believe that Sules person. i individually do no longer see any Twilight resemblance in it. I sorta like how this tale is going. save on writing it, i'm especially useful it would be an excellent tale!

I would give him what he ACTUALLY needs, like blankets, food, and water. Some homeless people would lie and use the money for things they don't need like cigarettes.=)

If there's a burger joint close by, I'd buy them a burger .. but, I won't give them money. Too many times to count, where I've given them money and they head straight to the liquor store ... and that's not how I want my money spent. :(
