I think that in turtle eggs there is a small space with just enough air to breathe untl the babies chip their way out and breathe the air outside'

Leatherback Sea Turtle. After the eggs are burried the female leaves them and strays over 3,000 miles from it's nesting ground in search of the jellyfish which is their main source of food. She lays 50-160 eggs. This is the largest turtle in the world.

Yes, they still breathe, but very little. Also, turtle eggs should always be kept right side up. If they're turned over, the embryo will probably die. There is an air pocket in the top of the egg where the embryo gets its oxygen. When turned over, this air pocket fills with fluid and drowns the embryo.

The baby turtle does not really 'breathe' in the shell- it absorbs oxygen from the amniotic fluids around it.

The shell, however, 'breathes' as it takes in oxygen and releases some other gases. All reptile eggs work about the same way, and all are laid in the air rather than in the water.

you can get informations to me

If your water turtle has laid eggs in the water, and you didn't remove them
within a couple of hours, the eggs are probably dead. The reason is that the
eggs are deprived of oxygen and they die.
