I would start with a lower offer of say £3.23 and if that wasnt accepted i would work my way up to my pre planned budget of £8.76. If that wasnt enough i would try and do a deal for a smaller length of the old rope. I would be quite pleased with about 2 metres for my budget of £8.76, and obviously over the moon if my inital offer of £3.23 was accepted. If my offer of £3.23 was accepted i would spend the remaining difference of £5.53 on more medication.

Firstly, I wish the font was bigger on this page, as I can't seem to find my old reading glasses to find my new typing glasses with, but here goes.
All down through history we have put them to great use, some are a little loopy and some have tied us in knots but to be sure, they are associated with almost every great endeavour that man has experienced.
I would pay heaps for one, because of the huge re-sale value to say, madam trousseau's' museum.
Specially John-Paul, he was a nice old pope.

It would depend on the reason I needed the rope, and the urgency of my need, as well as the amount of rope I required.

Ac-cord-ing to the condition I would string out a clever line to get it as cheap as I could, as long as I didn`t get too tongue tied!
