I would like to ask how to have a reverse rotation, but the forward rotation still be active... For instance forward rotation will take place at sometime, then after 5 hours reverse rotation will take place... vice versa...

How can I do this?

It is an AC electric motor.

1 is it a dc or a ac motor
2if it is a ac motor does it run on 3 phases, or 1 and zero?
answer this and telling u would be much easyer.
You still have not told wether its 3 phases or 1 phase and zero!!!!
If it´s 3 phases, u will need a timer and two relays, the timer swiches betveen the two relays, and for the reversing you swich 2 of the phase cords on the primarry.
If it´s 1 phase and zero, it´s more difficult, becaurse u will have to dismantel the motor and reasample it again, and loose your warrenty, or u will have to have a gearing.

The easiest way is to use a 3 phase motor. Use one, 3 position switch. with the switch all the way to one side motor going forward, middle position is off, last position is reverse. you will also need two starters. The only difference is that on the input side of the starters, on one starter, two of the wires are in different positions than the other starter.

Try an "idler" gear to reverse the direction without making monstrous electrical changes in the circuits

hay, I am guessing that you will need a timer and a switch to reverse polarity. of course I assume we are talking about an electric motor. any way have fun & good luck:)

You should specify the type of motor and power source AC or DC. Then I will answer for you.
