terms are misused, such as: jewish b*tard to mean being mean, nationalist or nazi as an insult, commy, for the same insult, pervert as a term of reference - just meaning an ab reaction. Is not "God bless America!" a nationalist term, for example?
Democracy is a waste of time. Just for opinionated bigots! Now they even want the little Madeliene to turn up dead and the parents to be blamed, just for drama.

i dont see your point here. as i tell most liberals, as displayed here, democracy is obviously demonstrating a fine job at maintaining your right and privelege to display a previously unheard of amount of naivete. isnt that case and point that everything is working fine??? i would think so. the point is, your right of expressing your views as well as others are being displayed, just not the way youd like it. the framers of the constitution gave you the right of PURSIUT of liberty, etc., not the guarantee of it.

the only point of democracy is to give an illusion of freedom and of choice. It gives people the impression that they actually have some kind of say in how their country is run. Really its a load of crap though as once someone is voted in, nothing can be done to stop them, and if you dare to contradict them then you will feel the full brunt of the police force, prison system, riot control, mental health service, etc etc. or if you are another country then sanctions, invasion, murder blah blah blah.

Heres an lovely little quote I thought Id stick in:

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
-- Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials

This is why I believe that the next stage of our social / political evolution has to be away from a hierarchial structure and towards a autonimous / anarchial structure. Hopefully taking the power out of the hands of a few and placing in the hands of the many. Refrendum based governements, especially with the digital era we are in, are a possibility. Its all up for discussion about how it could actually be done. The important thing is that it is done........

Sorry you feel that way. The USA is a republic, made up of states. Its not perfect by a long shot, but it can be changed for the better, all it takes is a vote.
