New breed of processors, even if dual core only draws up to 65W. The new Q6600 draws up to 95W only. Cases with a 120mm front intake fan and 120mm exhaust fan should be enough for cool and silent running.
Consider Antec, Lian Li, Coolermaster or Thermaltake.

I just built my first system, and it took me a long time to decide on a case, mainly because I wanted a case that looked good as well as functions well without costing a lot of money. I finally decided on a Silverstone home theater case with a VFD display (that was the look/style I wanted). Putting the system together was easy. I then realized the system was a bit too noisy, and replaced the fan that came with the motherboard, replaced the intel cpu fan, and removed one of the case fans (system temps remained low).
some thoughts:
choose a case without fans so that you can select your own fans (the fans that come with the case may be too loud, or may not have those cool colors), or may have more or fewer fans than you actually need/want.
i know a lot of techies complain about cases that uses too many screws (to install the drives, for example), but what's the big deal about a few screws? how often are you gonna open your case, replace or add a drive? besides, you can always add thumb screws for the case.
select a quiet, high efficient power supply.
My finished system:
Silverstone LC20M case w/VFD and remote
EVGA 680i SE motherboard (SLI Ready)
Intel 6320
OCZ 2 GB DDR2 Dual channel pc6400 (SLI ready)
Seagate 500 GB SATA
OCZ Gamestream 700 W power (SLI ready)

The case makes no difference what-so-ever.
Just get one your mother board and drives will fit into. Make sure you get one that is easy to open and has good ventalation.
You should see some of the strange PC cases people have built.
Take a look at this:

it really depends on what ur looking for and how much u want to spend. the coolermaster stacker 830 and antec nine hundred are both good cases, id take the coolermaster, they make great cases. the 830 can hold up to 9 120mm fans and is amazing for air cooling
