Well if I were to tell you I love you just being friends online it would mean that I really like having you here to talk to and posting with you, or your pesonality which I do really like so in that respect you could say I love you.
If one of your friends said it at home then it would be taken more seriously.
If it was that friend you talked about I'd say "Oh Boy" because that sure sounds like the bigest hint.
Did you say I love you back?

But I would that it that they're just playing with me, or that they care for me.
