NO EMOTION UNTIL THEY BECAME SUSPECTS(TO SAVE THEMSELVES)

2007-09-12 22:00:20 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 10 3

Well, I have heard that there are actually people who are experts in body language. The police should have someone who studies this sort of thing look at the McCanns interview tapes and such.
One thing that I have noticed is that Kate never looks at the camera when she is being interviewed or asked a question. She always casts her eyes down like she is ashamed. That's the same thing my kids do when they are lying to me, they look down instead of looking at me. Also, has many on here have suggested, the McCann's lack of emotion is very puzzling. I saw an interview that they did on Sky News awhile back and the reporter was interviewing them inside their rented apartment in Portugal (maybe some recall this interview). The reporter asked Kate "what would you say to Madeleine if she could hear you right now?" Kate just says "well, that we love her, but she knows that" and she says it very fast and almost mumbles it. I had to replay the video twice to clearly hear what she said. I found that extremely odd. Your missing daughter might be able to hear you and that is all you say, "we love you, but you already know that!" and you say it so quick and mumbled?!! I found that outrageous. If I was asked that question, I would probably burst into tears and say how much I loved my daughter, and I missed her, and I desperately want her to come home, etc, etc... The Mccanns are very strange to me.

Of course there is, just look at Kate's face, not a tear shed and always hiding behind Maddie's teddy or 1 of the twins. They have been in the public eye for a long time now and there will be a lot of professionals studying their body language, believe me.
As for publicised interviews most of the time this is where they are watched, recorded and played back many times just to look for signs of guilt and anything that has been missed.Even their statements to the police didn't tally, that would have been the beginning but the end is nigh and closing in fast on the pair of them.

I imagine body language experts have their own opinions and voice them at home and amongst eachother, but they have not been officially consulted, and it is wrong to do so as yet, so they cannot come out with any opinions in the public domain.
These type of people will be employed as Psychologists, and therefore will be working for uni's hospitals and social services. They would get the sack for speaking out.
The ones used by Big Brother, the TV ones, have kept quiet and rightly so at this stage, but in the event of an end to all this, I am positive they will be consulted and let us know what they believed from the outset.

Can you tell by a persons body language well it is difficult and I speak from personal experience. I have never shed a tear since my eldest daughter took the decision to cut herself off from us, her siblings and relatives 20 years ago. It is still heartbreaking even after all this time but I'm unable to wear my heart on my sleeve but inside my heart is breaking and the pain gets unbearable at times. However, I do shed buckets when I see people less fortunate than myself and tragedies such as this.

Over the years I have come to the conclusion that when you suffer deep deep hurt you feel in pain inside but show no outward emotion and I think that this is what is happening to these two. Kate will suffer a breakdown at a later stage as did I as the human mind can only take so much and then it starts to disintegrate. Gerry shows more emotion than Kate and will be first one to crack because he has lost his daughter or even from the of guilt of it all and his grief will flow from him in profusion .

I was wondering about their body language. Perhaps they have psychologists looking at them. It would not surprise me. They can tell a lot nowadays. However, the McCanns are professional people and their jobs may mask how they really feel. Doctors and surgeons are a different race when it comes to emotions. Everyone reacts differently to stress. I get quite hostile when stressed out, and that would not mean I was guilty of anything, it is just how it affects me.

Apparantly there are experts in this field, like there are supposedly little physical 'tics' when a person lies.

Compare the McCanns to the parents of Ben Needham, who was abducted from Kos in 1991.

I have noticed them 2 since day 1 and their body language tells the whole story and Photo is a 1,000 words and TV is a million words...

I agree with Jack H.
The body language experts have already been watching this couple and making notes.

It's difficult to tell unless you're an expert.

They don't seem too upset though. Well, not until the police came knocking on their door.

and why didn't they hire a private detective to search for her? The Fund money was supposed to be paying for stuff like that.

Compare Kate's appearance to the mother of that missing 15 year old girl. She was on the news a couple of days ago looking extremely upset and had obviously been crying.

Gerry McCann looks even less bothered than his wife.
