It would tell me not to worry about my new school because I would make friends eventually and I'd soon stop feeling sick all the time. I would also tell myself to enjoy the next 4 years (cos I was living in a foreign country at the time). Which is basically stuff my parents told me when I was 8, although I never really listened to them, so I'd probably just crumple the piece of paper up :)

First of all, I like your question very much. Here is my answer.

Leave any girl named susan, jane and tammy. Marry the girl named jessica. On 19XX, 18th September , buy these number from the lottery center, 2, 4 ,6 ,7, 23, 34,41 and 43 with $20. Remember not to use the money you win until 2007. Signed... your miserable future.

8 year old me. hmm that was when i mostly wore clothes from goodwill...hehe :P
dear emmie:
homeschooling seems awesome now but trust me, you'll hate it after a few years. don't worry it's only til 8th grade. even if it doesn't seem like it, in a few *cough* three years you'll start obsessing about clothes and hair and crap like that. so enjoy your innocent childhood while you can. also you need to have play dates with taytum more cause you're not gonna see her again til 6th grade. and forget about siobhan, she's boring. also, i propose an idea: wear more jeans that fit. good luck, you're gunna be awesome. love, me.
lol. i think i might roll my eyes but i'd keep it and look at it every once in a while. just cuz.

Don't be in a hurry to grow up. Enjoy being young as long as you can and, when you do get older, stay young inside and have a blast of a life.

An 8 yr. old would probably throw it away. My Dad told me the same thing when I was young and I didn't listen......I couldn't wait to grow up and do all the things adults do......what a disappointment. At least I listened to the second part: I've stayed young inside and that has made all the difference!

Stay young! :)

Pay special attention to how girls (and, later, women) speak and act. Try to understand women. Practice, practice, and more practice interacting with girls/women in a dating relationship that you can interact harmoniously with them.

Don't go to a boy's high school and don't go into the military right after high school.

At 8 y/o I would have paid attention to the letter if I knew that it came from myself when 64 y/o.

"Hang in there, Trink. You'll be out of there and married when you're 18!" And the 8 year old would pay attention just because she needs some hope.

How long has it been since the breakup? Why did he end it? Why do you feel the urge to contact him. Don't tell him you'll be always there for him just like that. I did that. I now know I don't mean it anymore. How long have you been together?

Stay away from that creepy guy at uncle Bruce's house
Stay away from Sam, Norm, Stewart and Scott.
Dont be stupid and ask that guy to marry you, he'll take you seriously, and youll have no way out.
When youre in love, you'll know it.
Study hard and dont give up, it will all be worth it when your 25.
Dont eat everything in sight, youll wind up far bigger than you want to be.
Get some exercise, it'll be good for your Asthma.

reminds me of therapy...

Although you don't know why you feel different it all turns out fine.
Don't ever give up fighting for the under-dog, take the consequences, it will make you who we are today and we are OK.
And make a map for that treasure bag you bury in the old mans vege garden...
8 year-old me would have put the note in the treasure bag...
