The English have been using "English" the longest and by far have more experience at speaking Americanese.

But why haven't the profanity filters been able to blot out the casual obscenities that most any brit uses every day?

Because it's considered "proper" profanity/obscenity. Everyone knows the English are very "proper" and therefore above the rest of the world and excused from things for which the rest of the world is penalized.

I didn't know that....so I can't say @rse or bloody hell then....what about some of the strange americanisms like fanny pack....a fanny is a girl's private part here...not a butt!

I dunno.
I myself always prefered British english to American english. Sounds more refined I guess. And plus, we all love the accent.
