For the cause, I think there's a lot of societal acceptance of early sex, and that, along with less parental supervision because more parents are away from home when school is out (either working or divorced and not living in the home), are big factors. For the effect, I think there's a certain amount of heartbreak when you have sex with someone who is not committed to you. Then, after you break up, it's harder to make another commitment, and the more relationships you have, the more difficult it is to trust. That's the emotional side. On the physical side, premarital sex exposes you to disease. Yes, condoms prevent a lot, but they're not perfect. For example, you can get genital warts (HPV) on skin not covered by the condom. There's also the risk of pregnancy: again, condoms are imperfect but better than not using condoms. Frankly, though, I think the emotional effects are much worse than the physical effects, and young people tend to discount the emotional effects.

CAUSE: peer pressure, raging hormones (normally males) leading to experimentation, misinformation about sex and the whole concept and relevant issues concerning it, immaturity, not enough attention given to kids while they were growing up, or the worse, children who grew up being molested, etc.
EFFECT: unwanted preganancies typically the cause of abortions, STD's especially the deadly AIDS, increase of orphans due to irresponsible and unprepared parents, psychological and emotional instability, high-rate of school drop-outs, increased-rate of divorce, etc, need I mention more?

Cause: Lack of guidance from the parents,influenced from the media.influenced from friends,act of curiousness,maybe rebellion,fraustrations.
Effects: Unwanted pregnancy,abortion,regret forever,Insecurities.
Therefore the best flow is this dating,courtship,then marriage.
Sex should be after the wedding.
