A few years ago I had the same problem.
My legs jerked every couple of minutes for 3 days.
Mine was caused by a new medication my Dr. had prescribed.
The jerking was so hard that it threw me off the bed, so I piled pillows on the floor where I couldn't fall off.

I found the jerking symptom to be very distressing.

Try to think back. Are you under any new stresses - school -- relational problems -- fears??
What have you eaten over the past 24 to 48 hours that you do not usually eat or take? Write all this down.

Knowing this is the middle of the night, if at any time you feel ANY swelling of the mouth, tongue or throat, or difficulty breathing -- CALL 911 Immediately. Paramedics can help you faster than trying to drive to a hospital.

I understand your fear. Yes, you DO NEED TREATMENT IN THE NEXT FEW HOURS. Right now, if that is your only symptom, call the hospital ER nurse and describe your symptoms. FOLLOW THEIR ADVISE.
Or, call your family Dr.'s number -- if the answering service will allow you to speak to a Dr, tell him your symptoms and let him tell you what to do -------whether it is something that can be treated in the office, or whether you need to go to the hospital for immediate treatment.

I know how distressing this may be to you. Try to keep yourself calm. It may have a simple and temporary answer.

Sound a little bit like a fit. Or Maybe an anxiety attack? Are you stressed out? if so you need to relax. To help stop this try laying on your bed/or floor and just take a deep breathe very slowly and back out at the same pace. try to clear your mind and forget about what your body is doing. continue this breathing untill your completely relaxed I Suggest you look into some nice Tai Chi classes and meditation. Some gyms will combine these classes to have pilates and yoga in it aswell. Good luck. Also maybe wake your mum up just incase!

You lack religion, expensive. If you maintain doubting that you're stored, then you'll fairly be unsaved. You have got to free up your strain and begin believing that Jesus has already stored you. If you believe that the Lord Jesus, the Son of God, died on your sake at the go and has risen up from the useless then you're real stored. Pray to God to difference your behaviour closer to your mother and father and feature religion that he'll reply your prayer and exhibit you the way in which. Remember that you simply ought to imply what you are saying while you pray the sinners' prayer.

I know you don't want to hear it but it doesn't sound like there is anything much you can do tonight. I am surprised you have not seen a doctor earlier. Definitely go and see one in the morning.

You might be having myoclonic seizures, but the only way to know that for sure is to see a doctor as soon as you can. Here are some articles about the condition:

are they just muscle spasms? because if they are they can be caused by a number of different things such as low level of minerals or over-use of the muscles because of a large amount of sport.

i think the best thing to do is to go and get it checked out by a doctor.

hope everything is ok
