Valentines Day, 11th grade. My boyfriend gave me a HUUUGGGEEE teddy bear and a dozen roses. Seriously, the roses would have been more than enough. But thats how it is in high school, the bigger the teddy bear, the bigger the statement. The teddy bear was ridiculously huge and unnecessary. Then I had to carry it from class to class, the bus ride home wasn't very fun. :(

I prefer practical gifts over things like jewelry but there is a limit.

Several years ago, my husband got me an electric broom for Christmas along with some kitchen stuff, which I loved.

I just do not understand its purpose. You still have to make the sweeping motions and go waaay slower. He's a technology geek.........

Honest to God, a tick remover. It was a birthday gift from my wife, I think a year or two after we got married. It was supposed to be a joke, but that's all she got for me that year.
