"Interesting" Is both subjective and relative. Not everyone shares your point of view, I thought that was why questions were posted, to receive others' thoughts and opinions.
One way to look at a "snide" answer is, that it's actually a window into the mind & soul of the person...even if you are not interested in that sort of thing, it does allow you to gauge the sentiments and mentality of the people you're "polling & surveying".
If you are looking for a "serious" answer to your "interesting" questions, I would suggest the R & S board, IMHO, those people take everything seriously and have little tolerance for sarcastic people or those attempting to be humorous. Some of the other boards are like that as well.

I will continue to ask as many 'interesting' questions as I can think of ... not to do so would betray my intellect and that is one think I won't do.
I think some people are just jealous that we give our grey matter strenuous workouts.
